Windows 10 20H2 performance setup for Streamstar SW

Windows is a multi-purpose operating system and various settings may improve its performance for one application, but degrade performance for another. Here are several settings that improve Windows performance for use of Streamstar SW.

1. Download and run Windows10PerfSetup.bat - attachment at the end of this article

- This is an Optional point, Windows10PerfSetup.bat is a third-party application and Streamstar does not take responsibility for any damage caused by using it at customers device.

This will set most services and remove unnecessary windows preinstalled applications.

2. Power options

Press the Windows button on your keyboard and start writing: Choose a power plan

Select High performance

3. Windows performance setting

right-click at This PC and select Properties

Select Advanced system settings

Select the Advanced tab and in the Performance option press the Settings button

In Performance options, select Custom. Unselect all options and make sure, that only 2 are checked (Enable Peek, Smooth edges of screen fonts)

4. Nvidia settings

Each time, you update drivers for your NVIDIA Graphics cards (GPU), check that you have the settings as followed. The options can be a little different, as they depend on the GPU model and driver version. Try to get as close to these settings as possible.
